Abhijit Muhurat is a short, highly auspicious window straddling local midday. It is considered a self-fulfilling muhurat suitable for starting almost any activity when a dedicated muhurat has not been calculated — the one exception being that it is avoided on Wednesdays in some traditions.
It is the eighth of fifteen equal parts of the daytime — roughly 48 minutes — centred on local solar noon, so it shifts slightly with your location and the season.
It is broadly auspicious for new beginnings, signing, travel and purchases. It is a convenient fallback when no specific electional muhurat has been prepared.
