How the love score is worked out

Both names are joined, every letter is converted to its character code, the codes are added, and the total is folded into a percentage between 40 and 99. That is the whole method. It is arithmetic over the spelling of two names - deliberately simple, deliberately not a technique, and deliberately always the same answer for the same pair.

Nothing in that chain is a technique. A character code is a computer's number for a letter, not a numerology value, so the result would change if the same name were stored in a different encoding, and it changes if you type a nickname instead of a full name.
